Michael K. Loch, 65

Kimball

April 24, 1949 - April 29, 2014

Michael K. Loch, age 65, of Kimball died Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at his home with his family at his side.

 Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball with Pastor Orval Wirkkala officiating.  Burial will follow at Maine Prairie Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00-7:30 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service, Saturday, both at the funeral chapel.  There will be a Legion prayer service on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral chapel.

 Michael Kent Loch was born April 24, 1949 in St. Cloud to Daniel and Marie (Driver) Loch.  He grew up and lived his entire life in the Kimball Area.  Mike graduated from Annandale High School with the Class of 1967.  He honorably served his country in the US Army in the Vietnam War; he was wounded in combat and was awarded the Purple Heart.  On March 3, 1971, Mike was united in marriage to Sherry Combs in Pueblo, Colorado.  He worked as a cement Finisher and was a member of the Cement Masons Union 633 and the Kimball American Legion Post 261.  Mike enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, cooking pork chops at the Kimball Legion, and having morning coffee with the guys.  Above all, Mike treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren.

 Mike is survived by his wife Sherry Loch; son James Loch and his wife Kimberly of Kimball; brothers and their spouses Jack & Carol Loch of St. Augusta, Steve and Pam Loch of St. Augusta and Greg Loch and Joni Abraham of Rice; and five grandchildren Krista, Matthew, Maleah, Joshua and Carly.  He is preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Marie Loch; and brother Kenny Loch. dingmannfuneral.com
