Military grave side services were held Monday, April 28, at Ft. Logan in Denver, CO for Oswald A. Sis, age 92. Oswald passed away Saturday, April 19th at the age of 92.

Oswald was born March 26, 1922 to Joseph A. and Barbara (Emslander) Sis in St. Cloud, MN. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII flying as a flight engineer on the B24 bombers against the German targets in occupied Europe. He married Viola Stenger on October 18th, 1945 in Denver, Colorado.

Oswald was a career firefighter for the Denver Fire Department for approximately 25 years. He was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Castle Rock, CO.

Oswald is survived by his son, David (Lynn) of Castle Rock, CO; 2 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Rita Traut (Sartell) and Louise Shiflett (Moberly, MO).

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Viola; brothers, Edwin, Joseph and Andrew; sisters, Hildegard, Marie, Elfrieda, Bernadette, Agnes and Frances.
