Ricky Aloys Nieland, 62

St. Cloud

Dec. 6, 1950 - Nov. 6, 2013

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Ricky Aloys Nieland, age 62, who passed away Wednesday at his home surrounded by family and friends. Rev. Greg Leiser will officiate and burial will be at Benton Cemetery, Sauk Rapids. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to the services Tuesday at the church. St. Cloud Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #622 will pray at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home in Sauk Rapids.

Ricky was born Dec. 6, 1950 in St. Cloud to Tony & Alma (Schaefer) Nieland. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Ricky married Bonnie Duret on March 11, 1972 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in St. Cloud. He worked as a web pressman at Volkmuth Printing and Quad Graphics for 37 years. Ricky was a member of St. Cloud VFW Post #428, St. Cloud Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #622, and Loyal Order of Moose #1400. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, grilling BBQ's, and trips to the casino. Ricky was an energetic, happy, outgoing person.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie of St. Cloud; sons and daughter, Jason (Audris Santana) of Odessa, FL, Jessica (Jason) Denne of Sauk Rapids, and Jeremy (Jaclyn) of St. Cloud; brother, Tom (Barb) of St. Joseph; and grandchildren, Morgan, Olivia, Cayden, and Camden. Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Alma Nieland; and brothers, Michael and Art.
