Rosalia "Sally" Rolfes, 83

Dec. 19, 1930 ~ March 26, 2014

Rosalia "Sally" Rolfes, born on December 19th 1930, passed away on March 26th 2014. She was 83. Sally is preceded in death by her parents Michael and Hildegard Gangl, brothers and sisters, and her beloved husband Harvey Rolfes. Sally was a long time resident of Minneapolis who loved socializing and volunteering. She was deeply involved with Christ the King Church Guild and coordinated luncheons, funerals and holiday celebrations. Volunteering was a passion she shared with Harvey and they both dedicated significant time to the Special Olympics and many other organizations. Sally and her husband traveled through Europe and the U.S. with family and friends. Her favorite place to travel was the cabin she shared with her family. Sally's pastimes there were creating bountiful gardens and spending time with the birds and hummingbirds. Sally is survived by her beautiful children Jackie, Rick (Sue), Mark (Roseanne), Jane and Julie (Jerry). She is also survived by the grand- children she adored so much, Nicole (Lance), Meghan (Bryan), Emily (Ryan), Christina, Jessica (Rich) and Jelena. Sally was blessed with great-grandchildren Ireland, Delaney, Kate, Hannah, Blake (Chelsea), Bailey and soon-to-be born Aveleen. We will all greatly miss her warm smile, generous heart and loving embrace.

Mass of Christian Burial 11AM Monday, March 31, 2014 at Church of Christ the King, 5029 Zenith Ave. S., Minneapolis, with visitation one hour prior. Interment Ft. Snelling.
