Barbara Barron May 5, 1926 - April 30, 2012 Barbara Barron passed away peacefully in Burlingame, California on April 30, 2012. She is survived by her six loving children, Carolyn Schwartzbord (Ourry), Richard Barron (Rita), Bruce Feder (Beverly), Suzanne Barron (Charles Pollick), Paul Barron (Angie Partolan), and Anthony Barron (Bridget). "Nana" will also be deeply missed by her ten grandchildren, Aaron Schwartzbord, Elana Feder, Jeremy Schwartzbord, Tessa Barron, Jason Feder, Kerissa Barron, Laura Ruchinskas, Ben Feder, Lucas Barron, and Nora Barron. She is also survived by her brother, Richard "Bud" Brown (Sandra), and numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Morton Barron in 2005. Barbara was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and attended college at the University of California, Berkeley and UCLA. She moved to San Francisco upon marrying her first husband, Allen Feder, where she developed many of her dear and lifelong friendships. She later married Mort, and they raised their family of six children in Millbrae in a spirited home that was filled with love, laughter, good food, weeknight study hours, and a strong sense of togetherness. Barbara and Mort loved to travel and they visited much of the world during their numerous trips. They would always have lots of stories to tell and bring back gifts for their children and grandchildren. Barbara was an exceptional athlete, and in particular enjoyed tennis and skiing and sharing those activities with her children. She derived great pleasure from having her grandchildren sleep over at her home, making them pancakes in the morning, and attending their performances and games. Barbara will be dearly missed by all of her family, and by so many close friends. Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Thursday, May 3, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at Peninsula Temple Sholom, 1655 Sebastian Drive, Burlingame. Interment following in Home of Peace Cemetery, Colma.
