Bruce Keller |
January 4, 1963 - May 12, 2013
Bruce Keller, beloved husband of Dr. Roberta Keller (nee Streiffer) and father of William (age 6) has passed away. He is also survived by his mother, Rochelle Keller of Lafayette Hill, PA, and brother Scott of Glen Falls, NY.
Bruce was a mensch, dispensing equal parts humor, wisdom and compassion. A loving husband since eloping to Paris in 2000, Bruce championed and celebrated Roberta's personal and professional achievements. Beamingly proud of Williams's accomplishments (including his sweet southpaw swing), Bruce loved playing sports with his son - and watching them with his wife. Bruce was an avid skier and fan of the outdoors - and serious Giants and 49er fan. A generous and supportive friend, Bruce searched out and sparked thoughtful conversations. Friends continue to debate his oft-posed question, "Chocolate, cheese or shoes? - pick one."
Bruce focused his prodigious intelligence and charm on the intersection of healthcare, technology and business. Bruce was the CEO of PipelineRx in San Francisco. Additional career highlights include: CEO and co-founder of Adigy Corporation; GP with Acacia Venture Partners; and VP at Berkeley International Capital.
Actively involved in his community, Bruce served as Board Chair of JUMA Ventures to help under-resourced youth achieve their dreams of a college education. A frequent volunteer with Make-A-Wish Foundation Bruce was active at Congregation Emanu-El.
Bruce received an MBA from Harvard University, a BS in Finance from Boston University and studied Economic History at the London School of Economics. He graduated from Germantown Academy in Ft. Washington, PA.
A trust for the education and support of Bruce's son has been established. Contact Kerry Lannigan at email@example.com for information.
The memorial service will be held at Congregation Emanu-El, 2 Lake Street, San Francisco, CA 94118 at 2:00 on Sunday, May 19, 2013.
