Frank J. DeRenzi Was born April 22, 1919, and he passed away peacefully January 25, 2013, after living a long and full 93 years of life. He was a Native San Franciscan and a graduate of Mission High School. |
Preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Angelina J. DeRenzi, his second wife of 4 years, Mary Ruggiero DeRenzi, daughter Barbara Mae Clark, grand-daughter Victoria J. Clark, sisters Marie Addiego, Josephine Compani, and his brother Joseph F. DeRenzi. He is survived by his sister Gloria Patania.
Loving and devoted father of Joseph J. (Diana) DeRenzi, Sharon (Robert) Mayo, and 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A proud WWII Veteran of United States 3rd Army, 1254 Combat Engineers. Served in SFFD for 13 years. He was a machinist for Nabisco Baking Co. and a Chief Plant Engineer for Larrabaru French Bread Co. and later, with Parisian Bakery.
Member of Retired City and County SF Employees, ICF Branch 259, Elks Club, Retired Fireman's Widows Assoc., American Legion (Fire & Police Post 456), AARP Foundation, SIRS, RCI, and faithful parishioner of St. Gabriel's Church for 60 years and a well known friend to many there.
Frank was always there to help others, and was a true builder and craftsman by trade. He was always happy if he had a hammer in his hand.
Very special loving thanks to his devoted caregiver Emily, who for the past 2½ years, was always by our Dad's side, and for that, we will forever be grateful.
The family would also like to thank Hospice by the Bay.

A Mass was held, followed by private family burial services.
