Frank J. Slezak

Born November 4, 1931 in San Francisco, CA. Passed away August 26, 2013 at UCSF Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He served his country in the US Marine Corps, Korean War and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Former SF Police Officer and Retired SF Firefighter.


He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mary; beloved father of Mark (Suzanne), Dana (Carl) Baumann, Jim (Karin); loving grandfather of Anthony (Robin), Nicholas, Astrea and Maria; sister of Barbara (Lee) Renfree; sister-in-law, Mabel Thompson, Ann Paton, Athena Pult (deceased); and nieces and nephews.


He was a wonderful husband, devoted father and grandfather and will be greatly missed. There will be a private memorial held.
