Resident of San Ramon

Aaron was born in Monroe, Michigan. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a Master's degree in Mathematics. After serving in the Army at Fort Meade, Maryland he moved to California to attend the University of California, Berkeley. Soon after, he joined the Data Communications Department at Chevron where he spent over 30 years as a systems analyst. After retiring from Chevron he continued in a similar position for 5 years at Safeway. On leaving the world of work, Aaron went back to school at Cal State East Bay to pursue a music degree. He was very active in, and eventually became the Artistic Director of, The North Lake Tahoe Chamber Music Society. Aaron was a devoted member of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, Danville and St. Patrick's Episcopal Church, Incline Village.

Aaron is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Frances "Fran"; devoted children, James (Kathy) of Berkeley, California, Greg (Laura) of Simi Valley, California, and Marion (Jeff) Steward of Lakewood, Colorado; Grandchildren Erin and Sarah of Berkeley, Elizabeth, Rebecca and Michael of Simi Valley, and Brian and Margaret of Lakewood; and sister Janyth Pomerville of LaSalle, Michigan. Aaron is remembered for his passion for early classical music, a voracious interest in science and history, his phenomenal memory, and a special fondness for Charlie Brown and Tigger. His infectious smile, bright eyes and loving personality will be sorely missed by everyone.

Friends and family are invited to a memorial service celebrating his life to be held Saturday the 22nd of June at St. Timothy's, (1550 Diablo Road, Danville). In lieu of flowers, donations in his name can be made to The Episcopal School for Deacons, 2451 Ridge Road, Suite 114, Berkeley, CA 94709.
