Gwendolyn Ellen Frankel died peacefully with her family beside her on March 6, 2013 at nearly the age of 82. Gwendolyn was a loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed.

Gwen was the first in her family to graduate college and majored in Journalism at Michigan State University. She worked as a newspaper reporter throughout her career.
She moved to San Francisco on a "bet" - only if Michigan State went to the Rose bowl, which it did in 1954.
She met her future husband, Milt Frankel, at a party at KGO television where he worked. They married in Las Vegas in 1955 and later had 3 children.
Gwen is survived by Milt, her devoted husband of 57 years and children, Sam Frankel, Barbara Feinberg (Lou Feinberg), Jennifer Frankel and grandchildren, Benjamin and Elliot Feinberg. She also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.
She loved to read, work on crossword puzzles, scrapbooks and enjoyed her daily dose of jeopardy. She touched the lives of many with her wit, humor and caring ways. She kept a close and personal relationship with her life-long friends. She enjoyed her last years at Rossmoor, especially her friends at the "Dog Park".
A celebration of her life with family and friends will be on Sunday, April 7th at 3 pm in Rossmoor, Walnut Creek at the Hillside Clubhouse.
