Kay "K.C." MacKenzie K.C., passed away peacefully in the company of her loved ones on January 3rd, 2013 at the age of 77. She is survived by her two sons, Michael and Jack and her daughter Kelly and four grandchildren.
K.C. was a multi-talented woman, who received her M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Stanford, and a B.A. in English as well as a B.A. in Education from Western Washington State University. K.C. co-authored the book "Color Power", she taught high school English and the History of Man, and she was Dean of Counseling, USC Student Affairs. From author to lecturer, to professor to counselor yet her favorite memory was meeting Eleanor Roosevelt as a young student at Western Washington.
She will be remembered by many for her gracious smile, her generous heart and her dancing feet.
Per her request, no service will be held. Donations in her memory may be made to The Arc, www.thearc.org, supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
