A Memorial will be held in the Greco Room at Patio Español Restaurant on August 23, 2014 at 11:30, 2850 Alemany Blvd, San Francisco. A buffet lunch will follow. Laura's family and friends are invited to come and celebrate her life.
Laura was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Joseph and Felicia Zaikowski. She graduated from Michigan State University, Ann Arbor after which she went to Mexico City where she received her Post Graduate degree in Art at Universidad Autonoma. There she met Gabriel Martin del Campo (Martin Del Campo), who became her husband and the father of their 3 children. Laura and Martin moved to Michigan with their two daughters, then to Mill Valley, California where their son was born and finally to San Francisco.
Laura taught grammar school in Michigan and in Mill Valley and later worked in the Design Department at the University of California in Berkeley. She was a talented artist who sculpted, painted in water colors and oils and played the piano. She also enjoyed her garden, traveling and being with her family.
Laura is predeceased by her parents, her daughter, Felicia Del Campo and her husband, Martin Del Campo.
Survivors include her daughter, Margarita Del Campo and her son, Mario Del Campo (Valerie Starr), and her grandson, Nicolas Fullmer (Lauren).
