Lydia Marcillac died peacefully in the loving presence of her family on the evening of September 26, 2013 at the age of 72. She was born in San Francisco, California on March 15, 1941. She was the daughter of Abraham Gonzalez (deceased), and Mary and Ernie Padilla (deceased) and was the youngest of two siblings.
Lydia is survived by her husband of 32 years, Maury Marcillac; her two children, Michele (Eugene) Chin and Mitchell Perry; brother Richard Gonzalez; grandchildren Jessica and Stephanie Chin; and great grandson Tavita Lealao.
Lydia was retired from PG&E after a 35-year career, where she made good friends and still maintained "Girls Night Out" with many of them years after she left the company.
Among her passions were golfing, swimming, Tai Chi, the 49ers, and most of all, fashion.
Lydia had impeccable style and taste, which she expressed through shopping. She loved to shop, but not just for herself. She made celebrations special for family and friends. It was the way she was able to express her love and appreciation for the people she cared about most.
Services will be private. The family intends to hold a gathering in celebration of Lydia's life at an upcoming date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the
in honor of Lydia Marcillac would be appreciated.
