Passed away surrounded by her family on July 4, 2014 at the age of 85. Malvina was born in Porto Albona, Italy on May 18th, 1929, came to San Francisco after World War II, married and had two children. Later she moved to San Mateo County where she lived for over 30 years. Malvina was a talented seamstress who became the breadwinner of her family when her husband contracted Multiple Sclerosis. She worked in the alterations department of Roos/Atkins and Nordstrom for nearly forty years and was the sole caregiver of her husband. Malvina was a hero in the eyes of her family and was especially beloved by her grandchildren who called her Nonna. Sadly, Malvina battled breast cancer which metastasized to the bone in 2012. She will be sorely missed. Malvina was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Anthony. She is survived by her sister, Bianca; two children: Eric (Judy) and Vivian (Brad); and four grandchildren: Michael, Lindsay, Drew and Hilary.
