William A. Masterson
Bill Masterson died in his home surrounded by family after a long illness with cancer. He graduated from UCLA Law School in 1958 (Member, Order of the Coif 1958, Alumnus of the Year Award 1994). He was a practicing lawyer in Los Angeles for almost 30 years (Fellow, American College of Trial Lawyers; founder Association of Business Trial Lawyers). He was appointed to the Superior Court of Los Angeles County in 1988 (Commission on Judicial Performance, California Judicial Council) and elevated to the California Court of Appeal in 1992.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Julie Dohrmann Cosgrove Masterson, four children (Mark, Mary, Barbara, and Tim), and four grandchildren (Patrick, Meghan, Finian, and Rory). Bill was 100% Irish, all four grandparents having been born in Ireland.
