LUNDEN, Donald Oscar
Donald Oscar Lunden, CPA of Covina, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away on March 22, 2013 at the age of 81. Donald was born the youngest of three children on
January 13, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois.
Donald graduated from Parker High School in January 1949 and
in June 1956. He married his beloved wife Evelyn in 1953. He passed his CPA Exam in September 1966 in Washington DC. In 1967 Donald moved his family to California where he and his wife, Evelyn raised their family. Donald became a member of the CA Society of CPA's in April 1969. He was a member of the Covina Chamber of Commerce and the Covina Host Lions Club where he was a Past President. He was a member of the Covina National Little League where he was a Board Member and Past President. He also served on the Board and was a Past President of the Covina Pony League. He was a member of the Covina High School Booster Club.
Donald enjoyed watching Basketball, Baseball and TV in general but especially old movies and westerns. He enjoyed listening to music and always supported his children in their activities, from band, to drill team, to baseball along with watching his granddaughter play softball.
He is survived by his wife Evelyn B. Lunden, daughters S. Rae Lunden, DC of Santa Fe, NM, Kathryn R. May of Fontana, CA, son Douglas B. Lunden of Baldwin Park, CA; son-in-laws James Klemmer, Gerald G. May, Jr.; daughter-in-law Maria E. Lunden; granddaughter Jessica R. Koss, MBA and grandson-in-law Staff Sergeant Jeremy Koss of Colorado Springs, CO; sister Jane Morison of Park Forest, Il; including many sister-in-laws and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on May 4, 2013 at 1:00 pm at St. Lukes Holy Catholic Church Anglican Rite at 1808 Second St., La Verne, CA 91750 with a gathering at the Lunden home at 644 S. Armel Dr., Covina, CA 91723.
