ROGER GOUGH BURSCH, 94 passed away at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, California on April 15th, 2014.
Roger was born February 15th, 1920 in Chanute, Kansas.
He left Kansas in 1936 and moved to New Mexico where he lived until 1939. He then moved to Pasadena California and has lived in Altadena and Pasadena ever since.
Roger worked for D.B. Milliken Co. as Plant Supervisor during WWII. He worked on cars as a hobby until 1946 when they became his living.
He studied to be a CPA at UCLA but elected to buy a Garage Business and in 1952 this became Scientific Automotive & Bursch Exhaust.
Roger retired in 1989.
He was active over the years in different organizations and was a member of Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, Exchange Club, Past President of Automotive Service Council of California, Porsche Owner Club, California Roadster Club and The Sports Car Club of America.
He enjoyed League Bowling in Pasadena and Arcadia.
Wife Bonnie died in 1987
He was the proud father of 5 Children
Sandra Johnson-Kentucky, Linda Petersen-Pasadena, Kenneth Jeffries-Valencia, Karen Giannotta-Pasadena and Richard Bursch-Sierra Madre.
3 Son in Laws and 1 Daughter in Law.
12 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren
He has 2 Brothers and 3 Sisters still living and 2 Brothers who have passed.
Services will be held on Monday April 21, 2014 at 3PM at Forest Lawn Memorial-Parks and Mortuaries Hollywood Hills Location
