KEILTY, Thomas R.

Thomas R. Keilty died at his home in Glendora, California on December 15, 2012. He was 85. Born in Waterbury, Connecticut on January 27, 1927, Mr. Keilty was a WWII Navy Veteran and later attended the University of Notre Dame (BS '52; MA '53). In 1954, Mr. Keilty moved with his family to California. He taught mathematics and physical education for 39 years at First Avenue Middle School, in the Arcadia Unified School District, where he also coached football, basketball, baseball, and track and field. He was an avid fisherman. Mr. Keilty was the husband of Alice D. Keilty and father of William L. Keilty, Thomas Keilty, John D. Keilty, William B. Keilty, Thomas J. Keilty, Maureen Keilty, Brady M. Keilty, Mary Alice Keilty, and Anne B. Ward. He is survived by his wife, six children, 12 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Rosary will be said at St. Louise de Marillac Catholic Church, in Covina, California, on Thursday at 5PM. A funeral service will be held at the same location on Friday at noon, followed by an interment at Resurrection Cemetery in Montelbello, California.
