Bill Bordwell 72 passed away peacefully on July 31, 2014. He was born on April 30, 1942 in Los Angeles to Charles and Edith Bordwell. The family moved to Pasadena in 1951. Bill graduated from Pasadena High School in 1960, and from the University of Oregon with a bachelors degree in Journalism. He served 4 years in the U.S. Navy. Bill loved sports. He played football for Pasadena High School, the University of Oregon and the Navy Pacific League. He was an avid golfer and played golf around the world. He spent his career in the restaurant business. He was general manager of the Night Watch restaurant in Pasadena, and founding partner and general manager of De Lacy's Club 41 in old town Pasadena for many years. Bill was a big man, big in size and big in heart. Known to his friends as "Beef," he was loved for his wit, humor and generosity. He was proceeded in death by his father Charles and is survived by his mother, Edith, his brothers Robert and Steve and sister Holly, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bill was buried with a private grave side service at the family plot at Ivy Lawn Cemetery, Ventura, CA.
