Charles T. "Tucker" Luckey
CHATHAM – Charles T. "Tucker" Luckey, 65, passed away Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at St. John's Hospital.
He was born Sept. 16, 1948, to Chuck and Pat Luckey. He married Mary Ruth Whitley June 6, 1970, at St. Joseph's Church in Springfield.
Tucker was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He loved and nurtured the earth, raising and selling herbs and native plants at the Farmer's Markets in Springfield.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; daughter, Cathy (Todd) Hammond of Springfield; sons, Mike (Amy) Luckey of Hastings, Mich., and Jim Luckey of Springfield; brothers, Timothy "Sam", Daniel "Boone", Louis, John and David "Joe"; sisters, Lois, Patty, Suzie, Lena and Edna; six grandchildren, Emily, Sarah, Madison, Isaac, Barny and Corban; and lots of nieces and nephews.
The family will host a casual Celebration of Tucker's Life from 1–5 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, at the Curran Town Hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks friends to bring their memories of Tucker to be shared at the celebration.
