SPRINGFIELD, IL - Gina Marie Hostick, 46, died at 2:29 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center.

Gina was born May 30, 1967, in Springfield, the daughter of Al and Bert Volk Hostick.

Gina was a member of the Special Olympics, where she excelled in bowling, track and swimming. She worked for SPARC, enjoyed watching "The Brady Bunch" on TV, singing, and going to McDonalds to have a hamburger and a diet Coke.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

She is survived by her parents, Al and Bert Hostick of Auburn; two brothers, James (wife, Jean) Weatherford of Springfield and Mark Weatherford of Hillsboro; three sisters: Melinda (husband, Gary) Garner of Auburn, Lori (husband, Jeff) Valentine of Springfield, and Paula Weatherford (companion, Kurt Schoeneweis) of Springfield; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 4 p.m.

Funeral Mass: 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 700 E. Spruce St., Chatham, IL, the Rev. Dennis Kollross celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
