Joyce Dianne Troxell

SPRINGFIELD, IL - Joyce Dianne Troxell, 63, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday morning, July 20, 2014, after a long illness.

Dianne was born July 12, 1951, in Springfield, the daughter of Mary F. Cody (McDonald) and James Prichard.

Dianne retired from the State of Illinois Department of Corrections after 27 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gordy Abbott and Gary Abbott; first husband, Dewey Terrill; and great-grandchild, Nikayla Howard.

Surviving are her current husband, Wayne Troxell; three daughters: Stacey Smith, Kim Howard and Kelley Bergae; two brothers, Bobby Prichard (wife, Betty) and Buddy Prichard (wife, Sherry); six grandchildren: Amanda Ausmus, Billy Howard, Michael Howard, Taylor Stanton, Cody Smith and Tyler Bergae; and five great-grandchildren: Brooklyn, Wyatt, Savanna, Tayvionna and Samson.

Dianne loved her children and family with all her heart, including Aunt Jeanne and Marie whom she loved like sisters. She loved and was loved by all her family members and friends and was everyone's "mother". And oh how she loved her Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

Upon Dianne's wishes there will be no funeral services.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held from 4-10 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at the VFW at 2349 Stockyard Rd., Springfield. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dianne's life.
