Louis F. DeMarco
SPRINGFIELD, IL - Louis F. DeMarco, 95, died at 7:35 p.m., Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at St. Joseph's Home.
He was born April 2, 1918, in Springfield to Joseph and Rachel Gentile DeMarco. He married Ruth E. Donelan on Feb. 22, 1941, and she preceded him in death.
He is also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Thomas and Joseph DeMarco; and two sisters, Ada Fulgenzi and Rose Roscetti.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Louie was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He was a lifetime member of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) and National Association of Letter Carriers. Louie was employed as a letter carrier for the U.S. Post Office. He was a lifelong resident of Springfield.
Visitation: 9-10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
Funeral Mass: 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Fr. John Nolan officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Home.
