SPRINGFIELD - Magdalen Frances Piatchek, 92, of Springfield passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. She was born on April 3, 1920, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Maxmillian and Clara Taft Scheidle. She married Frank A. Piatchek who preceded her in death in 1986.

She retired from Sally Ward Cleaners in Springfield and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.

She is survived by her daughter, Marian Rutledge (Michael) of Springfield; two sons, Richard Piatchek (Kay) of Tinley Park and Martin Piatchek (Pat) of Springfield; thirteen grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
