Raymond "Ray Ray" John Ray
SPRINGFIELD, IL - Raymond "Ray Ray" John Ray, 90, formerly of Centralia, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
Raymond Ray was born March 29, 1923, in Benld, Ill., to Lucian Ray and Margaret (Chaivario) Ray.
He was a salesman for Americana and a member of the Elks Club, Moose, and Knights of Columbus.
Funeral services for Raymond Ray will be held at noon on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Benld, Ill., with Father Lawrence Auda officiating. Burial will follow in the Benld Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday morning at 10:00 am at the church until the time of the service.
Survivors include his daughters, Deborah Kay Shull (husband, Richard) of Pleasant Plains, Ill., and Glenna May Ray of Springfield; and son, Doug Gihring of Godfrey.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jerry Emmerling and Ed Emmerling; two sisters, Lorraine Obertino and Clara Campo; and great-grandson, Johnathan.
Memorials may be given to the Benld Cemetery.
