ARIZONA - Richard Lee Borough passed away peacefully at home with his family on Friday, Oct. 25, 2013.
Born in Springfield, Ill., Richard graduated from Springfield High School. After graduating, Richard enlisted into the U.S. Air Force as an Air Traffic Control Equipment Repairman. After leaving the Air Force, he joined Allis Chalmers as a Research and Development Test Engineer. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Sangamon State University in 1974 and retired from Fiat Allis after 32 years of service. He shared his love of playing golf, traveling, friends and spending time with his family.
Richard is survived by his three sons: Bryon, Scott and Richard; two stepdaughters, Wendy and Sherri; and many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Franciscan Renewal Center, 5802 E. Lincoln Dr., Paradise Valley, AZ on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at 9:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Wounded Warriors Project or USO.
