BELLEVUE, WA - Ronald Blomgren, 74, passed away on July 1, 2013, at Mission HealthCare in Bellevue, Wash. Ronald was born on June 14, 1939, in Rockford, Ill., to Marold and Elsie (Nelson) Blomgren.
He is survived by a daughter, Annalise (Tracy) Monte, and granddaughter, Madeline Monte, both of Lilburn, Ga.; sister, Janice (Jerry) Johnson of Edinburg, Ill.; numerous cousins; and special friend, Leni Burney of Edmonds, Wash.
Ron was preceded in death by parents, grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles, two cousins, son, Timothy Blomgren, and brother, Rickard Blomgren.
Ron attended Rockford schools and graduated from East High School in 1957. He attended the University of IL, U-C. He moved to Wash. in 1974 and joined the Elks and AARP. He enjoyed traveling, first with parents and siblings, then as an adult. Besides traveling extensively in the U.S., he also traveled to foreign countries including Canada, England and Ireland. Ron enjoyed telling jokes and was often his best audience.
Memorial service will be held in Rockford at Salem Lutheran Church on September 27, 2013 at 11 a.m.
