SPRINGFIELD, IL - Wiley G. Moore, Sr., 64, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014, at his home.
Wiley was born on June 17, 1949, in Anna, Ill., the son of Wiley Earl Darnell. He married Linda Cole on June 7, 1973, in Edwardsville.
Wiley was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a cross-country truck driver, and after retiring he drove for Lincoln Cab. He was a long-time motorcycle enthusiast, a member of ABATE and a retired 30 years plus member of Back Door Men M.C.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; three sons, Wiley E. (companion, Deanna) Moore, Wiley Gale Moore, Jr., and Jeff (Sarah) Moore; one brother, John (Sally) Schoenleber; four grandchildren, Alyssa, Tyler, Dillon and Natalie; and one niece, Alayna.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home. Visitation will follow until 11 a.m.
