Obituary

KREHER, Alexander "Sonny", 97, passed away peacefully on Dec. 18, 2012. A lifelong resident of Tampa, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret McLean Kreher, and his 10 brothers and sisters whom he loved dearly. He is survived by his son, Dr. Alex Kreher and his wife, Dr. Susan, of Montgomery, Alabama; daughter, Margaret "B.A." Rorebeck and her husband, Curt, of Tampa; and four grandchildren whom he adored, Gantt Rorebeck and his wife Alisha, McLean Murphy and her husband Matt, Alexandra Kreher & Margaret Ann Kreher. He graduated from Hillsborough High School and went on to study at Louisiana State University. He retired from the Jim Walter Corporation in 1964 and devoted the rest of his life to his family. The family would like to thank Dr. Albert Tawil for his wonderful care and compassion. They also would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to his wonderful caregivers, Ivana, Mayelin, Luz and Lourdes for their love and constant devotion. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 at 3 pm at Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church, 3501 W. San Jose St., Tampa.
