BEST, Bernah Viola 103, of Belleair, FL passed away on April 19, 2014. Bernah was born to the late Edith and James Freeman Kincaid on June 12, 1910 in Mendon, MO. She attended Northwest Missouri Teachers College in Maryville, MO. After graduation, she taught school for two years. On April 26, 1933, she married Ebb Best. For 28 years, they owned and operated the Best Equipment Company, an International Harvester farm implement and truck dealership, in Mendon and Brookfield, MO. Bernah served as the controller for the business. In 1971 they moved to Florida and resided in Japanese Gardens for 38 years. Bernah was very active in the association there. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, card games, china painting, and serving as social coordinator for their dinners and dances. She was a faithful member of Central Christian Church of Clearwater. The church was very loyal to her, especially, when she was unable to attend in her later years. Pastor Donna and church members visited her regularly. Her loving husband, Ebb Best, preceded her in death. She is survived by daughter, Ellen Mauzey (deceased husband, Milton Mauzey) of Benton, TN; son, Dwayne Best (wife, Carra S. Heiman) of Belleair, FL; six grandchildren, Steve Mauzey (wife, Laura), Larry Mauzey (wife, Jane), Randy Mauzey, Terri McKenna (husband, Tim), Greg Best, Rene Lewis (husband, Beecher); six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
