TERRELL, Betty Caswell age 94, of Palm Harbor, died on March 10, 2014, at Harbor Chase in Palm Harbor. She was born to the late Katie and Theodore Caswell, Nov. 19, 1919, in Augusta, GA. She met Edwin M. Terrell at George Washington University and they were married in 1942. They lived in numerous countries in South and Central America and the Caribbean, before relocating to Virginia and California, and eventually to Palm Harbor in 1991. Betty was an interior designer while living in the U.S. and a school teacher during the years she spent abroad. She was commended by her students for her care and excellence in an article in The New York Times. She was artistically talented in many mediums including painting, jewelry, and mixed media. Betty is survived by two children, Edwin M. Terrell Jr. (Ann Terrell) of Ocean Pines, MD, and Elizabeth Lynn Terrell Atherton (Peter Atherton) of Clearwater. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dr. Katherine Terrell Svejnar (Jan Svejnar). She is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandsons. Private funeral arrangements are being made by the Sylvan Abbey Memorial Funeral Home.
