DALTON, Carl Oneal 85, entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at his home in Clearwater. He was born on Nov. 3, 1927 in Perry, MO to John and Lillian Dalton. Carl grew up in Collinsville, IL. He served in the United States Army, and was stationed in Japan after World War II. He attended Northwestern College in St. Paul, MN where he received his undergraduate degree. Carl met his beloved wife, Phyllis, at Northwestern and they were married in June 1950. He later attended the University of Illinois, achieving master degrees in mathematics and speech. He began his professional career as a school teacher, eventually becoming a successful business owner for over 50 years. For over five decades, he successfully ran American Welding, Bentley Welding, Harris Data Service, Certified Pharmaceutical and PMI Laboratories. He not only took pride in these businesses, but truly relished the friends he made and was respected by all those who worked for him. He leaves loving memories to be cherished by his devoted wife of 62 years, Phyllis; sons, Richard and his wife Barbara, Jim and his wife Christina; daughters, Susan and Debbi; grandchildren, Lisa, Melissa, Jennifer, Paige and Stefan; his loving great-grandchildren, and other numerous relatives. A private service was held by the family on Sunday, April 28, 2013.
