Dec. 14, 2012
Barb, my deepest condolences. Words cannot adequately convey my feelings regarding Carm's passing. Having known Carm since infancy as neighbors and childhood playmates I share your grief.
Although distance separated us after high school, there were not many days when my first playmate and great friend was not in my fond thoughts. I am pleased that our 60th high school reunion gave us a chance to see both of you.
I offer my prayers for Carm and also pray that you Monique, Pete, Lisa, Pat and Maria and other loved ones may find peace.

Peter and Monique -
You are both in my thoughts - much. I sincerely pray that
your personal griefs would meet God's grace that "surpasses
all understanding."

Our families were good friends while growing up in Rockford, IL. Carmen shared my brother's birthday Aug. 15 and we usually celebrated together. I last saw him when his father, Peter, died. However, my brother, Al, saw Carmen during his annual visits to Rkfd. to participate in the Italian Open and always filled me in re: Carmen's life. Our sincerest condolences to his family. So had to hear of your fathers passing, Monique. I know how hard it is to lose a father, a friend, the the first man a daughter loves. It's helped me to believe that when I leave this world I will see him again cause he will be there waiting to take my hand while we cross that street......together. Best to you and your family.

To Barbara and other Family,
On behalf of Delta Golden Wings, Inc., a social organization of retired pilots of which Bob was a member, I send our deepest sympathy to each of you. Bob was another dedicated professional during his years of piloting for Delta and was admired by those that worked with or knew him. He will certainly be missed by his friends.
May God grant whatever you need to adjust to his passing (final flight West). You will always remember the many good times you spent together, His memory will be with you every day as you think about past events.

As a Second Officer on the DC-8, Captain Bob Dodaro was a consummate professional. He was one to learn from and mold my ideals of what was a Delta Captain. It was people like him that made Delta and ALPA (at the time), such great organizations to be part of......thank you in so many ways!
You, as a family, can be so proud of him.
