CORBIN, Charles J. "Chuck" 81, of Mills River, NC, died Wednesday, July 23, 2014 in Hendersonville, NC. Born in Lansing, MI, he was the son of the late Elmer and Lynette Corbin. Chuck earned his BA degree from Michigan State University and, before retiring, was self-employed with many successful ventures. Before moving to Mills River 14 years ago, Chuck resided in St. Petersburg. He was a member of First Unity Church of St. Petersburg, and a proud member of "AA" for 36 years. Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Susan T. Corbin of Mills River; children, Laura L. Corbin, married to Dennis Green; Jennifer Lacefield; Maria Radnoti; Melissa Gelineau, married to Marc; Lisa Kaufman, married to Bruce; Gina Jones, married to Michael; Jon Corbin; and Brett Corbin; granddaughter, Alina Leung; grandson, Benjamin Leung; stepchildren, Lisa Harder, married to William; Carole Turner; Matthew Turner; and Christopher Turner, married to Vanessa ; twelve additional grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his beloved pets, Teddy and Chopper. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather and dear friend to many. Chuck's sense of humor and loving heart will be greatly missed. A service will be announced at a later date.
