STOVER, D. C. (SMOKEY), 92, of Sebring, FL, died June 16, 2014. He was born in Dunbar, West Virginia, son of the late Arthur K. and Emma Bass Stover. A veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and Merchant Marines during W.W. II. A former member of Charleston, WV, Police Department moving to Tampa, FL in 1959 where he worked for Florida Airco Amidio then moved to Palm Beach County. A graduate of Palm Beach Community College and Nova University receiving his law degree. Smokey was associated with the State's attorney's office in Palm Beach County and Highlands County. He had also served as attorney for the Highlands County Sheriffs Office for 15 years. A faithful and loyal member of St. Agnes Episcopal Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane. Survived by son - Glen A. Stover of San Francisco, CA. Funeral services, 5:00 pm, Friday at St. Agnes Episcopal Church.
