LUSK, Donald B. 66, of Pinellas Park passed away peacefully Dec. 28, 2012. Don was born in Bristol, VA., Jan. 14, 1946 and grew up in Chattanooga, TN. He served in the US Navy after high school and then attended and graduated from the University of Tennessee earning a Bachelor's Degree. He had a long and successful career in local government administration beginning in Chattanooga and continuing with various local governments after moving to Florida. Among his most enjoyable positions was serving as City Manager of Pinellas Park, accomplishing significant annexations and industrial developments. He also served as Collier County Manager and in similar capacity for other Florida communities. He was well liked for his pragmatic style, strong intellect and sense of humor. Don is remembered by his family for quiet, unexpected acts of kindness to others. He is survived by 3 children, Daniel, Patricia & Tiffany; 6 grandchildren; brother, Walter of Deland and his life-long best friend and former wife, Catherine Lusk of Naples. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, Jan. 2nd from 6-8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 10 am at First United Methodist Church of Pinellas Park, 9025 49th St. N. Interment will be later in Ft. Lauderdale.
