COOKE, Edward Charles 75, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. Edward was born on Oct. 9, 1938 in Greenwich, CT, to the late Edward Wiliam and Margret Ann Cooke. He was a retired police officer for the Stamford Police Department in Stamford, CT. Edward was a healthcare aid for ten years at Sarasota Memorial. He was a member of Saint Stephen Catholic Church in Valrico. Edward was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Survivors include his devoted wife, Dianne J. Cooke; son, Edward William Cooke, Michelle Cooke (wife), & their three children Robin, Edward and Colleen (located in Yorba Linda, CA); daughter, Kimberly Ann Baskett, Todd Baskett (husband) their three children Lauren, Jacqueline, Jonathan (located in Birdsboro PA); grandson, Ryan Cooke, Katie (wife) son - Henry (located Troy, NY); grandd-aughters, Kathryn Cooke - Michel, husband Isch, children Brian and Isch (East Hampton, NY) and Erica Wilson, husband John and daughter Rachel (Troy, NY); friend of Bill W. for 42 years; an extend loving family and circle of good friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 6-8 pm, at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 4, at 1 pm, at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Valrico.
