ORLANDO, Everett S., 83, of Maderia Beach, FL; formerly of E. Brunswick, NJ died Thurs, December 19, 2013. He is survived by his sister, Theresa Monk of Jackson, NJ; daughters, Wendy Orlando Barkoskie of Jacksonville Beach, FL and JoAnn Orlando of Jacksonville, FL; nephews, Charles and Richard Monk of Jackson, NJ; grandson, Stephen Newton; grand-daughter, Stacey Newton; and several great-grand-children. He is also survived by stepson, Richard Hartman of Seminole, FL; and numerous step-grand-children and step-great-grandchildren. Everett Orlando was predeceased by his parents, Selena Martin and Thomas Orlando; his 2nd wife, Tessie Bloss Orlando of 38 years; his son, Stephen A. Orlando; and stepsons, Bradley, Gary & Timothy Hartman. Everett Orlando served his country in the US Army during the Korean War in Greenland. He was a tree surgeon prior to becoming a police officer with the East Brunswick PD. He retired after 29 years at the rank of Lieutenant. He was one of the founders of Pop Warner Football in E. Brunswick and mentored many boys & girls. Everett was a member of the PBA, PAL, American Legion and Army Navy Club. A memorial service will be held Sat. 25 January 2014 at Bay Pines National Cemetery, St. Petersburg, FL at 10am. Burial will be at sea. Family requests you make a contribution to in lieu of flowers.
