GOLDBERG, Frances D. nee Gunter, age 71, passed away October 19, 2013 at her home in Largo, Florida after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Donald M. Goldberg, loving mother to Lisa and mother in law to Michael, adoring grandmother to Christopher, Amy, Zion and Rebeccah and loving pet parent to her two dachshunds, Roxie and Bella. Frances was born January 1, 1942 in Albany, Kentucky, the only child of Grover and Olene Gunter. The family later relocated to Ohio, where she graduated from Princeton High School in Cincinnati, class of 1959; and went on to study at Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. Her career spanned more than 40 years with her time divided between two corporations, She spent 17 years at General Electric Aerospace, Cincinnati, OH, in technical publications; and subsequently as senior electronics buyer for Smiths Industries, Clearwater, FL, from which she retired after 28 years of service. After a long career, Frances embraced retirement. She was an avid reader, crochet enthusiast, played weekly mahjong with her adorable ladies, served as Treasurer of Coquina Cove Residents, volunteered as a Deputy Poll Worker, was a splendid homemaker and a long time member of the Order of Eastern Star Celestine Chapter #185, Cincinnati, OH for more than 40 years. A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 11:00 in the Lakeside Chapel Mausoleum of Serenity Gardens Memorial Park located at 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, Florida. A gathering will follow the service at Randolph Farms Clubhouse on Indian Rocks Road, Largo, Florida.
