PATNODE, Fred E. Tampa, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2013. Survivors include his wife Caron; daughter, Karla O'Berry and partner, David Pratt; her son, Fred W. Patnode & his wife, Mary; grandson, Fred J. Patnode; and great-grandson, Fred Eli Patnode. Fred was a veteran who served in the Army. Fred was a retired City of Tampa Police Officer. He rode motorcycles for 69 years and was a member of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club. Fred also had a passion for carpentry work and will be remembered for all the furniture that he made for his family & friends. Fred had many devoted friends who will miss his quick wit and colorful use of cliques that made him loved, if not respected, by everyone that he knew. A celebration of his life will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, May 18th, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Ave. The family will receive friends from 11 am, until service time at 1 pm.
