CACCAMISI, Gino J. 90, of Plant City, passed March, 31, 2013. Born on Sept. 17, 1922, in Memphis, TN. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served in World War II, and participated in the D-Day Invasion of Normandy, France, on June 6, 1944. He was awarded a LAME Theatre Ribbon with 4 bronze service stars and the Purple Heart with an Oak Leaf cluster for his bravery and service to our country. He was a dedicated member of St. Clement Catholic Church in Plant City, and of the Knights of Columbus. He was retired from and also founded Central Food Equipment in Lakeland. Preceded in death by his wife, Barbara A. Varnadoe Caccamisi; sons, Mark Daniel Caccamisi, and Gino Caccamisi Jr.; siblings, Mary Liberto, John J. Caccamisi, Vincent J. Caccamisi, Sam Caccamisi, Harry P. Caccamisi, and Joe Caccamisi. He is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Tammi & Tracy Higgins; son, Mike Tapley; daughter-in-law, Joanne Caccamisi; siblings, Sarah Billions; brother & sister-in-law, Albert & Margaret Caccamisi; siblings-in-law, Glen & Janice Varnadoe, Gene & Nan Varnadoe; grands, Thomas D. Pollock, Gina M. Caccamisi, Christopher J. Caccamisi, and Benjamin J. DeLiguori. A Memorial Mass on April 5th, 11 am, at St. Clement Catholic Church, 1104 N.
