GAMBA, Heberto 79, of Tampa, passed away Feb. 22, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Yolanda; daughter, Claudia F. Gamba; son, Carlos H. Gamba (Lissette); four grandsons, Carlos, John Michael, Christian, and Alexander. He was born in Buga, Colombia. He is preceded in death by his mother and father and his son, John. He learned the automotive trade from his father , vocational schools to better specialize in his trade. He was a member of the Civil Defense in Colombia and served as a volunteer fireman for over 15 years as chief of the fire department. He was a self made automotive entrepreneur and business owner in Colombia and followed in those footsteps when he settled in Philadelphia, PA in 1974. His hobbies were anything mechanical, boxing, cars and he was an avid car racer in his early 30's. He became a citizen and raised his family, built a business while loving his new country and opportunities as well as always remaining loyal to his Colombian roots. He moved to the Tampa Bay area in 1989 with his family lived here until present. He was of the Catholic faith. A Catholic funeral service will be held Tuesday at 7 pm at the Boza & Roel Funeral Home located at 4730 N Armenia Avenue where the family will also receive friends from 5-8 pm.
