FORSYTHE, Hugh B. "Casey" Sr. 79, of St. Petersburg, and formerly of Hilton, NY, went to be with the Lord on May 3, 2013, after a 2½ year battle with heart disease and heartbreak over losing his wife. A graveside memorial service will be held at 9:15 am on Friday, May 17 at Bay Pines National Cemetery which is located at 10000 Bay Pines Blvd., St. Petersburg. Funeral arrangements are being handled by David C. Gross Funeral Home in St. Petersburg. Casey was born to Hugh Willard and Grace (Rutter) Forsythe in Ellwood City, PA on June 1, 1933. His family moved to Rochester, NY where he graduated from Charlotte High School in 1951. Shortly thereafter, Casey joined the U.S. Air Force and was discharged in 1956. He later went on to receive an A.A.S. degree in engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1969. Casey was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Linda Winfeard (Speary) and they were married 14 years. He was also preceded in death by his first wife of 41 years, Lois Marilyn (Groth), his parents and sister, Judy Forsythe. Casey worked as an engineering maintenance technician at Eastman Kodak Company for 25 years. Prior to working there, he owned and operated a Texaco gas station on Lake Avenue in Rochester. He was an active car collector and enthusiast and enjoyed spending time with his car buddies at car shows and Biff Burger. He was an incredible machinist, handyman and woodworker as well. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his children and grandchildren. Casey is survived by his three children, Linda M. Bonscher of Lakeland, Carl W. (Sandy) Forsythe of Cohasset, MA and Hugh B. (Lauren) Forsythe, Jr. of St. Petersburg; as well as nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, his brother, Guy Forsythe of Ocoee; sister, Etta McEneany of San Diego, CA; and nieces, nephews and other family and friends. He is also survived by Donna's five children, whom Casey loved very much: Ron "Lance" Wilfeard, Craig Wilfeard, Chris Wilfeard, Scott Wilfeard and Karen Lattanzio. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Suncoast Hospice Foundation at 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, 33760 or www.thehospicefoundation.org. David C.
