NOLAN, James D. "Jim" 80, passed peacefully in St. Petersburg, on Nov. 8, 2012.He honorably served in the U.S. Marine Corp and then worked 38 years at Progress Energy.He was a fisherman, reader and enjoyed carpentry. In his spare time he volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, St. Pete Free Clinic, Enterprise Village and the Optimist Club. He is survived by wife, Gaylene; daughters, Linda Ann Weekes (Peter), Deborah M. Gottfried (William); his grandsons, McKendree & Robert (Tucker), Jacob Gottfried; great-grand children, Brianna, McKendree and Leiah (Tucker); brother, Lewis E. Nolan III (Betty) of Memphis, TN. Celebration of life, Nov. 16th, 10-11 am at Gee & Sorensen F.H., 3180 30th Ave., N., St. Petersburg, FL 33713. Interment to follow 2:30 pm at Florida National with military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations to The St. Petersburg Free Clinic in Jim's name.
