MANDERSCHEID, James F. 70, St. Petersburg, took the final step peacefully to his heavenly home, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, April 29, 2014. Jim graduated from University of Florida College of Law with his J.D. degree in 1969, following his B.A. in Journalism in 1966 from UF. He was proud to be part of the 1961 graduating class of St. Petersburg High. He was a practicing attorney in St. Petersburg for 40 years. Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Susan, and his precious children, Kyle, Logan, and Romy. Jim also leaves a devoted sister, Jean Rutan, and brother Bob Manderscheid and his wife Sue, as well as Michelle Porter, mother of his children. He is also survived by a loving mother-in-law, Gladys Muller, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Cindy and Jim Cavagnaro, and Todd and Marcia Muller. He has numerous nieces and nephews, all special to him, as well as his beloved companion Zoey, (Maltipoo). A casual memorial service will be conducted this Friday, May 2, at 5 pm at CrossBridge Church, 50 - 153rd Avenue North, Madeira Beach. The service will be at 5 pm, with dear friend and pastor Rick Cowley officiating. Following the service, family and friends are invited to a picnic dinner at John's Pass. Special thanks to Jim's very kind visiting Angel, Quanice, each of his wonderful therapists with Hygeia Health Care, as well as the outstanding St. Anthony's Hospital CVICU staff who cared for him in recent days following his return via Jet I.C.U. from Doctors Hospital in Nassau. His second wedding anniversary cruise with Susan on Royal Caribbean was cut short by his cardiovascular event on April 23. Our special thanks to Drs. Vijaya Cherukuri and Beth, Dr. Luciano, Dr. Weise, Dr. Sams, and Dr. Bell, as well as Dr. Eric and the Jet I.C.U. team.
