BRYAN, James Wallace Dec. 29, 1929 Dec. 17, 2012, went to be with the Lord. A longtime Pinellas resident born to a pioneer farming family. Jimmy grew up in Pinellas Park when Bryan Dairy Road was a dirt road. He ran track and played football for the St. Petersburg "Green Devils" before graduating in 1947. He attended the University of Florida for one year before having to return and help his brother, Buster & mother, Pansy run the Dairy. In 1958, he moved the farm to the East Lake area of Tarpon Springs. Jimmy had many friends in Tarpon & was a well loved member of the community. He was one of the last real cowboys of the county. As a young man, he helped neighboring ranchers from the area round up cattle and laid miles of fences. Jimmy spent many years hunting and fishing the many rivers and lakes in the area. He and Peggy are members of the Tarpon Springs Church of Christ & were married for 61 years. He leaves behind his wife, Peggy; a son, James Jr.; 2 daughters, Nancy & Merry Jane Dey (Gary); 5 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 11 am-1 pm, Friday, Dec. 21st, at Dobies Funeral Home -Tarpon Chapel, where services will begin at 1 pm. Burial will follow at the Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park.
