LIGHTSEY, Jerry, 74, of Plant City, Florida, entered into eternal rest on July 13, 2014. He was a lifelong resident of Plant City. He also lived briefly in Jupiter, Florida, and Orange County, California. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, a member of the Plant City Lion's Club, and a longtime active member of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Plant City. He was a lifelong citrus farmer, and owner of Plant City Spreader Service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Ann "Dottie" Lightsey; parents, Russell and Maddie Lightsey; and brother, Alan Lightsey. He is survived by his children, Lisa Vivero (Francis), Maria McCoy (Dean), Mikki Pitts, and Ryan Lightsey; brother, Larry Lightsey; grand-children, Joey Lightsey (Alicia), Jordan Vivero, Annabella Vivero, Brandon Russell, and Steven Pitts; great-granddaughter, LilyAnn Lightsey; step-mother, Jo Lightsey; close family members, Tom and Carol Yarbrough, Mark Yarbrough (Lori), and Matthew Yarbrough (Lindsay); nephews, Craig Lightsey (Annie), and Todd Lightsey; and niece, Kim Shallcross (Ed). A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, July 18 at 11:00 A.M. at Hopewell Funeral Home, 6005 CR 39 S, Plant City, where the family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 A.M.
