CONNOLLY, Judith Johnson 68, of Valrico, died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 at Sun City Center Hospice House after a lengthy illness with cancer and gastroparisis. She was born July 28, 1945 in Cascade, IA. She had no children. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Catherine & Oscar Johnson; sister, Elizibeth Evarts; brother, William Johnson. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years 364 days, Kenneth Connolly of Valrico; two dogs (#s 6 and 7) Fuji and Brinkly; sister, Mary Jean Johnson; brother, Ronald Johnson, both live in Dubuque, IA. She attended the University of Iowa to attain an LPN nursing license and Pima Community College for an RN license. Her occupations included, nursing and quality assurance administrator. Her resume included working in operating rooms, a dermatology office, an orthopedic floor in a hospital, in a Litho-triptor department in a hospital and quality assurance in a surgery center. Her hobby in earlier years was tole painting. She became a fan of NASCAR Sprint Cup racing and favorite driver was, Jimmy Johnson. She had a caring personality, beautiful blue eyes and a strong spirit. She will be missed by all that loved and knew her. A memorial service will be held 5 pm, Monday, Oct. 28, 2013 at Brandon Cremation & Funeral Services, 621 N. Parsons Ave., Brandon, 813-654-4400.
