FOWLER, Marcus Sr. of Tampa, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014. Memorial services will be conducted Wednesday, June 25, at 11 am, at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 North Howard Ave. His final resting place will be in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Marcus attended Hillsborough County schools, but completed his education and graduated from Swainsboro High School in Swainsboro, GA, in 1981. Upon graduating from high school, Marcus decided to become a United States Airman and joined the United States Air Force, where he served his country for 6 years. He was recently employed at Rooms To Go Corporation for the past 9 years. He leaves to cherish his memory: brother, Alex Fowler of Kailua-Kona, HI; sisters, Valerie Fowler of Bronx, NY, Angie Lockett of Tampa; son, Cameo Smith of Germany; daughter, Markeisha Fowler of Tampa; along with her children, Terryonna Blalock and Jordynn James; son, Marcus Fowler Jr. of Tampa; along with his mother, Virginia Fowler (ex-wife), and her children, Raquel Gates and Christian Kenney; nephews, Gevin Vereen of Honolulu, HI, and Steven Alcaide of Orlando; a very loving and devoted cousin, Ta'marell Keenan and her husband Anthony and their 2 daughters, Treysure and Topazz; and a host of loving friends, other family and co-workers. The remains will repose from 4-7 pm, Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.
