REISCHMANN, Mary MacPhail passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013. Born in Sterling, MI, on Jan. 19, 1926, she graduated from Sterling High School, attended Kalamazoo College and graduated from Michigan State University. Mary and her family moved to Treasure Island in 1946. She was a member of Pasadena Community Church since 1946, & was significantly involved in the Church's preschool & kindergarten programs. She was employed by the City of St. Petersburg Publicity Department and was assistant to Press Philips, Director of Publicity, until 1958. During that time she was involved with state promotional publicity of the City, the Chamber of Commerce's Charm School, and the City's Festival of States. Mary was well known for her engaging smile, charm, humor and quick wit. Mary was a member of the ESA and PEO sororities where she had enjoyed long and lasting friendships with their members. Mary is survived by her husband of 57 years, William E. (Turk) Reischmann Sr.; children, William (wife, Katie) and Charles (wife, Ann); grandchildren, Mary Kate, Liz, William III, Mary, and Paul; nieces & nephews, MaryAnn MacPhail Hubbard, Leicester, NC, Gordon MacPhail, Ft. Worth, TX, Jack MacPhail, Palestine, TX, and Hope Canova, Chassahowitzka, FL. She was pre-deceased by her brother, Donald C. MacPhail; many good and loving friends, and sorority sisters of PEO and ESA. A memorial service will be held at the Goodwin Chapel, Pasadena Community Church, 227 70th St. South, St. Petersburg, FL 33707 on Friday, May 31st, 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pasadena Comm. Church Preschool Scholarship Program, 112 70th Street S. St. Petersburg, FL 33707 or .
